& Make-up.

On request, the portrait can begin even before the lens: in the hands of Diego Gazzola, a professional make-up artist and hairstylist who has spent years bringing out the face and personality of those before him.

The preparation takes about an hour and a half, depending on skin and hair. Then Diego stays by your side, touch-up after touch-up, until the very last photograph.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to ask us.

How long does the appointment last?

About 90 minutes: the time for the portrait, the guided selection and choosing the format. Unhurried.

Do I need to know what to do during the portrait?

No, and that is the point: the journey is gently guided by Susanna and Marco. Small cues, a conversation, the right time. Your best side emerges on its own.

What is included in the entry commission?

The portrait in the gallery, the guided selection, the fine-art print in XS format and the digital file, for personal use, of the printed image. Larger formats are optional.

What should I wear?

Clean lines and dark or neutral colours work best in black and white. Better to avoid logos and bold patterns: we’ll sort out the rest together, in the gallery.

When do I choose the photograph?

Right after the portrait, in the same appointment: we look at the selection together with the authors and choose the image that will become the print.

Can I come with my partner, children or dog?

Yes. Couples, families and dogs too are welcome: the portrait also tells of our bonds.

Is the frame included?

Passepartout and frame are chosen in the gallery from the available lines, according to the format and the space the photograph will live in.

Do I also receive the digital file?

Yes: together with the print you receive the digital file, for personal use, of the printed image.

Do I receive all the files from the session?

We deliver the digital file of the chosen, printed image only: that is the photograph our entire post-production and printing work focuses on. The other shots from the encounter stay in our archive. Each additional print includes the file of its own image.

Can I choose a larger format?

Yes. The collection runs from XS to XXL — the M format, for example, measures 50×65 cm. The format is decided in the gallery, in front of the photograph.

Can I have professional make-up and hair?

Yes, on request: Diego Gazzola, a professional make-up artist and hairstylist, prepares you before the portrait and follows you with touch-ups throughout the appointment. The preparation takes about an hour and a half, costs €330, and you simply request it when you book.

How does the Gift Card work?

It is available digitally or in a case with a printed invitation and a personalisable message. It is valid for one year from purchase; whoever receives it books directly online.

Can I visit the gallery before booking?

Of course: entry to visit is free during opening hours. The portrait, however, is by appointment.
